Why Choose
Custom motorcycling earplugs are precision-engineered hearing protection devices designed specifically for motorcycle riders who experience prolonged noise exposure during rides. Targeted at professional and recreational motorcyclists, these custom fit earplugs are meticulously crafted through a personalised process involving precise ear canal impressions taken by audiology professionals, typically using medical-grade silicone or specialised polymers.
The manufacturing process creates a unique earplug that perfectly matches an individual's ear anatomy, ensuring maximum comfort and noise reduction of 20-30 decibels. By blocking harmful sound frequencies while preserving critical environmental awareness, these earplugs protect riders from potential hearing damage caused by continuous wind, engine, and road noise during motorcycling.
Their specialised design helps prevent long-term hearing issues like tinnitus and noise-induced hearing loss, reducing ear canal fatigue and allowing riders to maintain sound clarity without the risks associated with prolonged noise exposure. The custom fit minimises pressure points, enhances comfort, and provides superior protection compared to standard, generic earplugs, making them an essential safety accessory for riders who prioritize both hearing health and riding performance.

Earwax removal is a process of cleaning our ears of excessive earwax that has built up in our ear canals. There are a number of different methods used to try and do this including the preferred method of microsuction, ear syringing / irrigation or manual removal. Some people can also remove their earwax blockage by using over-the-counter ear drops.
See our earwax removal page for more information.
Microsuction is a professional earwax removal technique where a professional uses a specialised microscope and a medical suction device to carefully vacuum out earwax. Unlikely ear syringing where water is injected into the ear canal creating unnecessary risk of injury and hearing damage. Microsuction is safe, effective and painfree. It is the only treatment technique we use at Bristol Ear Health and is the national recommended method of earwax extraction.
Read more on our earwax removal page.
Prior to your appointment we will review your symptoms and consent form to make sure microsuction is suitable for you. When you arrive, you will be welcomed by our staff. We will start with an assessment of your ears. Depending on what we find, we will either proceed with treatment or review any findings. Treatment takes approximately 15-20 mins for most people. Following treatment we will review your ears again and assess your ear drums for any issues. If we find something we don't like the look of we will provide you a referral letter and digital imagery to share with your NHS GP.
